Chinese researchers in Wuhan have unveiled a jet engine prototype that creates high-temperature plasma directly from pressurized air. The concept is based on combining air which is then ionized with the help of microwaves, which generates hot plasma that provides power. Plasma production is electrically powered, which means zero emissions!
